Opened in December 2014, the Mountain-Boutiquehotel Der Grüne Baum Hotel in the centre of Ehrwald enjoys a scenic location at the foot of the Zugspitze Mountain. It features free WiFi in all areas, a wellness area and a bar.
The tyrolean-style rooms at the Der Grüne Baum all come with a flat-screen TV and private bathroom facilities with bathrobes, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Most rooms are recently renovated.
Dinner can be enjoyed at the in-house Das Wirtshaus 1644 restaurant, serving a combination of modern and traditional dishes. Cocktails and a selection of port wines can be savoured at the hotel bar.

In winter there are over 120 kilometres of ski slopes in every degree of difficulty, for beginners as well as for pros. Snowboarding, tobogganing, ice skating, curling, a skipass service, a free skibus service as well as cross-country skiing (use our hotel's ski rental) complete the winter offer.
Popular destinations for daytrips include Innsbruck, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Füssen, the royal palaces of Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof, the village of Oberammergau - famous for its Passion Play -, the Ettal Abbey and the Wies Church.
