Chiapas is a state that has everything: jungle, archeological zones, colonial cities and also beaches.



And if they are beaches, one of the most beautiful is undoubtedly the Boca del Cielo.

For several reasons, the main one is that it is a virgin beach, which has not yet reached the noise of jet ski engines or the bustle of large crowds. Also, there are no hotels.

The nearest town is Tonalá, and from there, passenger taxis take tourists to Boca del Cielo on a journey of no more than 20 minutes, surrounded by palm green.

Once in Boca del Cielo, you will have to cross the small water estuary aboard a boat to reach the bar, which is what locals call a piece of land between the estuary and the Pacific Ocean.

In the bar there are booths where you can stay. They are austere but clean, and the biggest attraction is everywhere: the sea, the antenna, the stillness, the hammocks that hang from the kiosks, the mangroves in the distance and the sound of the waves.

You shouldn't worry about food either, because fishermen who rent cabins often also have restaurants.



Visit the community museum, with different marine species that were found there and meet the turtle, where sea turtles are raised. If you're lucky, you can participate in the turtle release.
