Uno de los principales museos de Praga que tiene muchas obras maestras. La colección se compone principalmente de esculturas y pinturas del siglo XIV, la edad de oro de la creación artística de Bohemia.
En un espléndido edificio, el monumento gótico más antiguo de la ciudad, se exhiben los artistas más importantes de la época: el maestro anónimo del ciclo de Vyšší Brod, que destaca por la riqueza simbólica y simbólica de sus obras, el maestro Théodoric cuyos retratos Encarna de forma genial la visión teológica y política del emperador Carlos IV y el maestro Třeboň y sus obras de un lirismo y misticismo sin igual.
