Like the sunset of the Dune of Jericoacoara, in Ceará, is one of the great attractions of the beach considered ecological sanctuary.

Until 1985, Jericoaquara was just a small fishing village, lost between dunes and isolated, until its discovery by the tourism industry, that made it reach international fame.

To the west of the fishing village, there is the great dune, most sought after spot to see the sunset in Jericoacoara. It is next to the Canoas Beach. It is famous for being able to watch the sun rise and set in the ocean, due to its peninsular location.
