The Kolmsteiner Hof is an ideal base for sporting and leisure activities all year round. There are over 100 km of hiking and cycling trails. Fans of winter sports will appreciate the nearby ski slopes, cross-country skiing trails, as well as the longest double chair-lift and toboggan track in the Bavarian Forest. In the surrounding area, guests can take part in many sports, including tennis, squash, bowling, golf, horse riding and swimming.
There are also many fine places to visit on a day trip from the Kolmsteiner Hof. The Czech border and the Bohemian Forest are only a few kilometres away, as are the pretty towns of Taus and Klattau, and the Bayerwald animal park. The Bavarian cities of Regensburg and Passau are also well worth a visit.
