Die Sausalito-Lagune entspricht dem alten Stausee ´´Hacienda La Viña del Mar´´ der Familie Vergara. Es wurde zu einer Zeit gebaut, als die Wasserknappheit die Weinberge gefährdete. Derzeit ist es ein großer Touristenkomplex, der dem Besucher die Möglichkeit bietet, den Lagunenstrand, Bootsfahrten, Wasserski, Tennisplätze, Schwimmbäder und verschiedene Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten für Erwachsene und Kinder zu genießen.

Santiago-Viña del Mar: Landroute auf der Route 68 von Santiago und auch auf der Route Vía Las Palmas. Valparaíso-Viña del Mar: Landroute über die Autobahn Viña-Valparaíso oder über die Avenida España. Viña del Mar-Laguna Sausalito: Landweg. Zufahrt über die Calle Uno Norte in die Av. Los Castaños.
Es hat auch eine Nachbildung eines Mississippi-Dampfschiffes, das als schwimmende Disco genutzt wurde und heute als Restaurant dient.
